The Pogues

The Pogues are an English[1] Celtic punk band.[2] The band was founded in 1982 in London by Shane MacGowan, Spider Stacy, and Jem Finer. MacGowan was the lead singer. Joe Strummer also played with them. They are best known for their Christmas song "Fairytale of New York", recorded with Kirsty MacColl.[3]

The band broke up in 2014, but got back together in 2024. Current members are Spider Stacy, Jem Finer, and James Fearnley. They are all from England.
