Digital video recorder

A Digital Video Recorder (DVR),also known as a personal video recorder, is a device that can record videos from an input and store them for later viewing. They are sometimes included as part of cable receiving set-top boxes as a feature.

DVRs can be used to record footage from Closed-circuit television cameras, and have been used to record footage in order to ensure security. Some DVRs are made for security purposes.
