Domain name registrar
A domain name registrar is a company designed to provide domain registration service to other companies or individuals that would like to own a particular web address.[1] The party seeking to register the site will usually pay the domain name registrar a flat or monthly fee to keep the name registered, so that no other person is able to acquire the web address. The systems setup by the domain name registrar translates IP addresses into easily identifiable domain names. this is called the domain name registrar.
ICANN Accreditation
ICANN Accreditation is the process by which the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) authorizes a company to act as a domain name registrar for generic top-level domains (gTLDs). Accredited registrars are granted the ability to register domain names directly with registry operators under ICANN’s oversight. The accreditation process involves a detailed application, financial and operational due diligence, and adherence to ICANN’s Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA), which ensures compliance with policies, data escrow requirements, abuse handling, and more.[2][3]
