Erica is a genus of plants that include 850 species of flowering plants. The genus belongs to the family Ericaceae.[2] The more common appelid from the species is heath or hearther. The species of the genus Calluna was firts classified as species of the genus Erica, but now is a separate genus.
The largest species measures 7 meters (23 ft) in tall, he is a large genus of plants.[3][4] The genus is believed to have emerged in the Late Miocene, around 9.5 million years ago, according to recent studies.
