"Espresso" is a song by American singer Sabrina Carpenter from her upcoming sixth studio album, Short n' Sweet, released in August 2024. It was released on April 11, 2024, as the lead single from the album. It was written by Carpenter with Amy Allen, Steph Jones, and its producer, Julian Bunetta.[1] It is a midtempo dance-pop and nu-disco song with elements of funk.
"Espresso" was popular when it was released and had good reviews from critics.[2][3] Pitchfork included it on its 2024 list of the 100 Best Songs of the 2020s So Far.[4] It reached number one in the UK and Australia and number three in the US and Canada.[5]
The song won Best Pop Solo Performance at the 67th Grammy Awards in 2025 and was nominated for Record of the Year. The "Working Late" mix by Mark Ronson and FnZ won for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical.
