The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party (ALDE Party) is a European political party made up of 76 national parties from across the European Union and wider Europe. The ALDE Party is part of the Liberal International.[1] It was founded on 26 March 1976 in Stuttgart. On 30 April 2004, the ELDR was remade as an official European party, the "European Liberal Democrat and Reform Party" (ELDR Party).[2]
The ALDE is represented in the European Parliament through Renew Europe which has been the fifth largest group since 2024. The ALDE is also part of the current European Commission.
