Factor VIII

Factor VIII (FVIII) is a blood clotting factor that is also called anti-hemophilic factor (AHF).

Human biology

In humans, Factor VII is in the F8 gene. If the gene is mutated, one gets hemophilia A, which is a recessive disorder. The gene for Factor VIII is situated at the X chromosome.
