Flag of Sudan

The flag of Sudan (Arabic: علم السودان) was adopted on 20 May 1970.[1] It has a horizontal red-white-black tricolour, with a green triangle at the hoist.[2][3]

The flag is based on the Arab Liberation Flag received by Egypt, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen.[2] That flag uses a subset of the Pan-Arab colors in which green is less significant.[4]
