"Foolish" is a song recorded by American singer Ashanti. It was released on January 29, 2002, by Murder Inc. Records and Def Jam. The song samples "Stay with Me" by the R&B group DeBarge. Ashanti co-wrote the song with Irv Gotti and 7 Aurelius, who produced the song.[2]
It reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100[3] and was ranked the #2 song of 2002 in the US by Billboard.[4]
