Fort Sheridan is a residential neighborhood within the cities of Lake Forest, Highwood, and Highland Park[1] in Lake County, Illinois, United States.
It was originally created as Fort Sheridan, an Army post named after Civil War cavalry general Philip Sheridan,[2] to honor his services to Chicago.
