Gary Wayne Johnston (October 21, 1964 – January 20, 2022)[1] was a United States Army major general. He was the commanding general of the United States Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) from June 2018 to July 2021.

Johnston killed himself on January 20, 2022 in Alexandria, Virginia at the age of 57.[1]
