Giuseppe Tornatore (born 27 May 1956) is an Italian movie director and screenwriter. He is said to be a very important Italian director.[1] His career was 30 years long. He is most know for directing and writing movies such as Everybody's Fine, The Legend of 1900, Malèna, Baarìa and The Best Offer. His most famous movie is Cinema Paradiso. This movie won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. He has also directed several advertising campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana.[2]

Tornatore is also known for making many movies with the composer Ennio Morricone.[3][4]
