Glamorgan men's cricket team

County cricket in Glamorgan is organised by the Glamorgan County Cricket Club, which was formed in 1888. Since 1921, the team has played in first-class matches. Glamorgan is the only Welsh team in the County Championship. They have been county champions three times, in 1948, 1969, and 1997.[1] Their usual home venue is Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, but the club has used other venues around the county.[2] A former venue is the St Helen's Ground in Swansea, where Gary Sobers famously hit six sixes in one over in 1968.[3]
