Gregor Angus Bethune Robertson (born September 18, 1964) is a Canadian politician and businessman. He was the 39th mayor of Vancouver. He was elected on November 15, 2008.[3]

He has attended both Colorado College and the University of British Columbia. He has a Bachelor of Arts in both English and Biology.[4] Before becoming a politician, Robertson founded the Happy Planet juice company with Randal Ius and used to grow produce on his farm.[5]

Robertson started his political career as a member of the British Columbia New Democratic Party representing Vancouver-Fairview.[6] He resigned from LA on July 15, 2008 after becoming the nominee and mayoral candidate for Vision Vancouver in June 2008.[7]

On November 15, 2008, Robertson was elected mayor by a solid margin and took office on December 8. During his time in office, Robertson oversaw the 2010 Winter Olympics and made Vancouver become the fastest-growing metropolitan economy in Canada.[8][9]

In 2011, Robertson ran for re-election and won a landslide victory with all of Vision Vancouver candidates winning seats.[10] He was once again re-elected in 2014.[11] In January 2018, he announced that he would not seek a fourth term in the next election.[12]

On March 23, 2025, Robertson announced that he was returning to politics and was running in the Vancouver Fraserview—South Burnaby district as the candidate for the federal Liberal party in the 2025 Canadian federal election.[13]
