A gunshot wound, also called ballistic trauma, is a type of injury caused by arms or munitions being fired (a shooting).[1] Gunshot wounds are usually from firearms used in war, civilian sport, and criminal actions (such as murder).[2] A gunshot wound can kill a person, or cause injuries for life.
