Gurdaspur

Gurdaspur is the capital of the Gurdaspur District in the state of Punjab, India. According to the 2011 Indian census, over 2,299,000 people lived in the city.[1]

History

It was in 1852 during British rule[2] that the city of Gurdaspur became the capital of Gurdaspur District.[3]
