Guy Green

Sir Guy Stephen Montague Green, AC, KBE, CVO (26 July 1937 – 22 July 2025) was an Australian jurist. A former Chief Justice of the Tasmanian Supreme Court and he was the Governor of Tasmania from 1995 to 2003.[1] He was the first Tasmanian-born governor of the state, although not the first Australian-born. He was born in Launceston, Tasmania.

Green died on 22 July 2025 in Hobart, Tasmania from a short-illness, four days before his 88th birthday.[2]
