Hans-Ulrich Klose (14 June 1937 – 6 September 2023) was a German politician from the Social Democratic Party. Klose was the First Mayor (German: Erster Bürgermeister) of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg from 1974 up to 1981 and was President of the Bundesrat in 1979/80.[1]
Klose died on 6 September 2023, after suffering from Alzheimer's disease in Hamburg at the age of 86.[2][3]
