Heracleum is a genus of 91 species of plants in the Apiaceae family.[2]
Distribution
Heracleum is native to Eurasia, Central Africa, Sudan and most of North America.[2] The three species Heracleum mantegazzianum, Heracleum sosnowskyi and Heracleum persicum are invasive in Europe and North America (Heracleum mantegazzianum).[3]
Hybrid information
H. sphondylium and H. mantegazzianum are similar so in some areas it can make a hybrid.[4]
