Hexachloroethane
Hexachloroethane is a chlorinated derivative of ethane with the formula C2Cl6. It is a colourless crystalline solid that sublimates. It was used in smoke bombs and formerly as a parasite medication for animals.
It was discovered by Michael Faraday in 1820.[1]
