The First Generation was launched for the first time in India in April 2013. It was developed at Honda's research and development Asia-Pacific in Bangkok and is made in Greater Noida and Rajasthan.[6] It has a 1.2 1.3 turbo petrol engines (avaliable in Southeast Asia only) and a 1.5 liter turbo diesel engine (avaliable in India only) with a 5-speed both manual automatic and CVT transmissions. It was facelifted in 2016.[7]

The Second Generation was debuted at the February 2018 Auto Expo.[8] Honda said it is bulit on a separte plataform derived from the sixth gen Honda City. Now it has a 1.2 liter petrol engine and a 1.5 liter turbo diesel engine with only a 5-speed manual CVT transmission. It got facelifted in 2021.[9]

The third generation was shown in December 2024.[10] It has the same transmission and some other features from the previous gen.

Markets

The Honda Amaze is currently sold only in the Indian market it was previously sold in Thailand.[11] Philipines.[12] and Nepal.[13]
