Hostomel (Ukrainian: Гостомель) is a city in Kyiv Oblast, northwest of the capital city of Kyiv.
Hostomel was damaged during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.[1] Russian troops lost the Battle of Antonov Airport. The city was given the title Hero City of Ukraine on 13 March 2022.[2]
