Hyperlipidemia
Hyperlipidemia happens when there is too many lipids, such as cholesterol, in a person's bloodstream. It can cause a series of health problems.[1][2] There is a type of hyperlipidemia that runs in families. It is called the familial hyperlipidemia.[3] Cholesterol may be lowered by not being overweight, or by regular physical exercise.[4] Someone's age, race, or sex may also affect cholesterol.[4]
