The Hyundai Mistra was a mid-size sedan made by Hyundai from 2013 to 2023 through the Beijing Hyundai joint venture.[1]

The first generation was first shown as a concept car in the Shanghai Auto Show in 2013 and in the end of 2013, the production version was released as a 2014 model.[2] In China, the Mistra was positioned between the Elantra and Sonata.[3] It had a 1.6 liter turbo 1.8 and a 2.0 liter petrol engine with a 6-speed both manual and automatic transmission, as well as a 7-speed DCT transmission.
The Hyundai Mistra was popular as a premium compact car, a niche that has became popular in China, and it was mainly due to the car's features that were found in luxury cars. It was facelifted in 2017.[4]

The second generation of the Mistra was shown at the Guangzhou Auto Show in 2020.[5] It later became avaliable in the market one year later. It had a 1.5 liter turbo and a 1.8 liter petrol engines with a 7-speed DCT CVT transmission. The second generation also had a electric version with a range of 520 km (320 mi).
Markets
The Hyundai Mistra was sold mainly in the Chinese market.
Discontinuation
The Hyundai Mistra stopped being produced in 2023, and was discontinued without a sucessor.
