ICC Women's Cricket World Cup
The ICC Women's Cricket World Cup is an international cricket tournament organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was first played in 1973, and takes place every four years. Matches are played under One Day International (ODI) rules, each team having a single innings limited to 50 overs. The same format is used in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup. The ICC has granted ODI status to sixteen women's teams.[1]
The next edition will take place from 30 September to 7 November 2025, at five venues across India and Sri Lanka.[2] Eight teams will be taking part:[2]
- Australia Women
- Bangladesh Women
- England Women
- India Women
- New Zealand Women
- Pakistan Women
- South Africa Women
- Sri Lanka Women
Australia Women are the titleholders, having won the 2022 edition in New Zealand. That was Australia Women's seventh title, and they are the most successful team in the tournament's history.[2]
