Irwinton is a city in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is the county seat of Wilkinson County.

History

Irwinton was founded in 1811 as the seat of Wilkinson County.[4] The community was named for Governor Jared Irwin.[5] Irwinton was incorporated as a town in 1816 and as a city in 1904.[6]
