The JAC Heyue Tongyue also known as the JAC J3 is a Subcompact car made by JAC Motors from 2008 to 2017.
History and Features
The JAC Heyue Tongyue (or the J3) was first shown as two prototypes at the Auto China in 2008.[1] shortly after being shown it started being made and was later launched the cars were developed by Pinninfarina a famous Italian design house the Heyue Tongyue (or the J3) has both Hatchback and Sedan versions and a Crossover version called JAC Tongyue RS Cross.
It has a 1.3 liter petrol engine supplied by Mitsubishi (due to a agreement between JAC and Mitsubishi) with a 5-speed both manual and CVT automatic transmissions it waa improved in 2014.[2] the car has a electric version called JAC iEV4 (previously Tongyue EV) this version launched in 2011 has a range of 150 km (93 mi).[3]
Markets
The JAC Heyue Tongyue (or the J3) was mainly sold in the Chinese market during its production but also it was sold in Brazil, Latin America and other countries.
Discontinuation
The production of The JAC Heyue Tongyue (or the J3) ended in 2017 and it was discontinued without a sucessor.
