Jan-Pieter Martens (born 23 September 1974 in Bilzen) is a former Belgian football midfielder.
Career
Martens began playing football at Lanaken VV. His professional career began at KV Mechelen in 1993. For the 1996/97 season, he moved to Roda Kerkrade. With the team he won the KNVB Cup in 1997. From January 1998 to June 2003, he played for SK Sturm Graz. He also participated in the UEFA Champions League in the 1998/99, 1999/00 and 2000/01 seasons. From 2003 to 2005 he ended his career at TuS FC Arnfels and SC Untersiebenbrunn.
2012 Martens became technical director of VV St. Truiden. He left the club for the 2013/14 season and became team manager of FC Schalke 04. He held this position until the end of 2018. Then he has worked as a scout for the club. 2024 he was head of the scouting department of Club Brugge K.V..
