Javier Astúa Araya (6 November 1968 – 4 January 2022) was a Costa Rican professional footballer. He played as a forward. He played for the Costa Rica national football team between 1992 until 1994, making thirteen appearances.
Astúa died on 4 January 2022 from heart disease in San José, Costa Rica, at the age of 53.[1]
