Jeannot Szwarc (21 November 1939 – 15 January 2025) was a French-born American director. He was known for his work in American movies and television. He directed the movies Jaws 2, Somewhere in Time, Supergirl and Santa Claus: The Movie.[2]

Szwarc died from respiratory failure a hospital in Loches, France, on 14 January 2025, at the age of 85.[3]
