James "Jim" Norton (born 4 January 1938) is an Irish character actor.[1] He is known for his roles in Straw Dogs, Memoirs of an Invisible Man, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and in Water for Elephants.

Norton was born on 4 January 1938 in Dublin, Ireland.
