John Wentworth (March 5, 1815 – October 16, 1888) was an American politician. He was the Mayor of Chicago two times.

Wentworth was born on March 5, 1815 in Sandwhich, New Hampshire.[1] He studied at Dartmouth College. He was married to Roxanna Marie Loomis. Wentworth died on October 16, 1888 in Chicago, Illinois, aged 73.
