Jonathan Kaplan (November 25, 1947 – August 1, 2025) was an American producer and director. He was known for his movie The Accused (1988), which was nominated for the Golden Bear at the 39th Berlin International Film Festival.[2] His movie Love Field (1992), was nominated for the Golden Bear at the 43rd Berlin International Film Festival.[3]
Kaplan received five Emmy nominations for his roles directing and producing the television series ER.
Kaplan died from liver cancer at his home in Los Angeles, California on August 1, 2025, at the age of 77.[4]
