Gwangju Shrine was Shinto Shrine in Gwangju during the Japanese occupation of Korea.
The enshrined deities were Amaterasu Omikami and Kunitama Omikami .
Japan's defeat in World War II led to the shrine's abolition on November 17, 1945.[1]
Chureito Pagoda stands where Gwangju Shrine used to be.
