Katy Jane Carmichael (born 5 March 1970) is an English actress, director, and producer. She is known for her roles as DC Jo McMullen in the ITV crime drama series Liverpool 1 (1998–1999), Twist Morgan in the Channel 4 sitcom Spaced (1999–2001), Lucy Barlow in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street (2002–2003), and Melissa Ryan in the BBC One school-based drama series Waterloo Road (2009).
Personal life
Carmichael was born and brought up in Liverpool. She has been married to actor Tristan Sturrock since 2005. They have three children together.
