Kawaii metal

Kawaii metal is a subgenre of heavy metal that originated in Japan. It combines J-pop, heavy metal, power metal, and speed metal, and songs in this genre often contain positive and upbeat lyrics. Kawaii metal is often strongly associated with Japanese idol groups. The band Babymetal is often credited with creating the genre.[1]
