Kumar Sanu (born 20 October 1957) is an Indian singer. He was born in Kolkata, India. He has won five Filmfare Awards (five awards in a row from 1990 to 1995) in 2009 he was awarded Padma Shree (forth highest civilian award) by the Government of India. [1]
Career
He started his music career in 1984. His first breakthrough came six years later when he was given chance to do playback singing for the movie Aashiqui by Nadeem-Shravan. The movie made his and also music directors career in Bollywood. He often worked with Nadeem-Shravan.
