The LMP – Hungary's Green Party (Hungarian: LMP – Magyarország Zöld Pártja, LMP) is a centrist political party in Hungary. It was founded in 2009.[1] The party focuses on environmental protection, fighting corruption, and supporting green energy.
LMP wants Hungary to be more eco-friendly and fair. They support better public transportation, renewable energy, and protecting forests and rivers. The party also works for social justice and equal opportunities for all people.[2]
In 2025, the party's group in the National Assembly ended because many people left the party. Officially, the three LMP politicians are now in Parliament as independent members. In a podcast interview on June 29, Péter Ungár basically said that he has stopped being active in politics and that it is possible LMP might also end.[3]
