Leopold Czejka- also Cejka- (* 14 November 1903 in Schwechat, Austria-Hungary; † 30 April 1945 near Berlin, German Reich), was an Austrian football player. He played mainly for SK Rapid Wien as defender. He also played for the Austrian national football team.
Career
Czejka started his career in the second division club Germania Schwechat. He played regularly from 1921 to onward. Due to the departure of several regular players, the club was no longer able to play a leading role in the league in the following years. He moved to SK Rapid Wien in 1925.
It was during the 1928/29 season, that he was able to secure a regular place alongside Roman Schramseis . At the end of the season, he celebrated his first championship title. A second title followed in 1930 . He reached his third title in 1935. The number of his appearances decreased and so he left the club at the beginning of 1937. He went to FC Wien. He then returned to his hometown and played for ASK/Phönix Schwechat.
International
He played two matches for the Austrian national football team. His first match was on 16 November 1930 in a 4-1 win versus Sweden. His last match was on 16 June 1931 in a 2-0 win versus Switzerland. [1]
