Liya Akhedzhakova
Liya Mejidovna Akhedzhakova (born 9 July 1938) is a Soviet and Russian actress and political activist. She was born in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union. Her career began in 1961.[1]
Akhedzhakova is known for her roles in The Blue Bird (1970), Looking for a Man (1973), Ivan and Marya (1974), The Irony of Fate (1975), Office Romance (1977), The Garage (1979), Sons of Bitches (1990), Promised Heaven (1991) and Playing the Victim (2007).[2]
Akhedzhakova was known for being a vocal supporter of President Boris Yeltsin in 1990s.[3] She has been a critic of President Vladimir Putin and his invasion of Ukraine.[4]
