In 1976, Yvonne Elliman released a version of Love Me. It went to number 3 in New Zealand and South Africa, number 6 in the United Kingdom, number 9 in Ireland, number 11 in Canada, number 14 in the United States, number 15 in the Netherlands and number 16 in Australia.
Martine McCutcheon version
In 1999, Martine McCutcheon covered Love Me for the 1999 BBC Children in Need and for her debut studio album You Me & Us. It was released with its A-side Talking in Your Sleep. It went to number 6 in the United Kingdom, number 10 in Scotland and number 26 in Ireland.
