M/V Eva Jocelyn Shrine or Yolanda Shrine, is a memorial, from the hull of a ship run aground in Tacloban, Leyte, during Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan). The memorial honours victims of the storm which ravaged central Philippines on November 8, 2013, causing storm surges like the one which beached the ship. The name of M/V Eva Jocelyn was merged with that of Yolanda after the disaster.[1]

History

The M/V Eva Jocelyn ship had set sail from Basey, Samar, and was swept ashore by storm surges caused by the super typhoon. It washed up in Barangay Anibong, Tacloban City, Leyte. The ship was made a memorial and renamed to commemorate of the victims.[2]
