M113 armored personnel carrier

The M113 is an American armored personnel carrier (APC), which are military land vehicles used to carry soldiers, similar to infantry fighting vehicles. The M113 has seen a lot of use around the world, used by around 44 countries and more than 80,000 have been built.[1]

In the United States Army, its original user, it has mostly been replaced by the Bradley Fighting Vehicle family. As well the United States Army is planning to replace their remaining M113s with the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV), based on the M2 Bradley.[2]
