Magyar Televízió
The Hungarian Televison (Hungarian: Magyar Televízió, MTV) was a Hungary free-to-air television network owned by the Hungarian government. It started broadcasting by satellite in 1957 and, since 1973, on television. In 1979, MTV became the largest channel and remained so for a number of years.
From 2004 to 2019, the MTV was a fully active member of the European Broadcasting Union.
On July 1, 2015, four separate organizations (Hungarian Television, Hungarian Radio, Hungarian News Agency, and Duna Television) merged to continue their activities as the sole public service media provider under the name Duna Média.
