Mandela and de Klerk
Mandela and de Klerk is a 1997 British television movie about the negotiations and relationship between F. W. de Klerk and Nelson Mandela to end apartheid in South Africa. Sidney Poitier played Mandela and Michael Caine played de Klerk. It was released on February 16, 1997, and was nominated for numerous awards in 1997 and 1998.[1] It originally premiered on Showtime on February 16, 1997.
