Mangystau Province or Mangystau Region (Kazakh: Маңғыстау облысы, Russian: Мангыстауская область) is a region in the west of Kazakhstan. The capital is the city of Aktau. As 2023, 766,956 people live here.[3]
There are only three cities in this region: Aktau, Zhanaozen and Fort-Shevchenko.
The region is named after the Mangystau (en) peninsula.
