Maru (24 May 2007 – 6 September 2025) was a famous cat on the internet. He was from Japan and he was famous for sliding on his belly.[1] A lot of people like to watch videos of Maru and look at pictures of him on his website.[2] Maru also has a friend named Harry, who is a hedgehog.[3]
Maru died on 6 September 2025 in Japan from lung cancer at the age of 18.[4][5]
