Mary Beth Hughes (November 13, 1919[1][2] – August 27, 1995) was an American stage, movie and television actress. She played Henry Fonda's former girlfriend in The Ox-Bow Incident (1943). She also played Sylvia in The Great Profile.
Early life and career
She was born Mary Elizabeth Hughes in Alton, Illinois.[3] Hughes' parents, George Joseph Hughes and Mary Frances Hughes, separated when she was an infant[1] and divorced in 1923.

Death
Hughes died, aged 75, on August 27, 1995 from natural causes in Los Angeles.[4]
