Masahiro Sakurai (桜井政博, Sakurai Masahiro) (born August 3, 1970) is a video game designer who worked at HAL Laboratory from 1991 to 2003.

Sakurai is the creator of 2 video game franchises, Kirby (1992) and Super Smash Bros. (1999), He founded a company called Sora Ltd in 2005, Sakurai also has a Youtube channel called Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games (both a english and Japanese version), which was created in 2022.

Personal Life

He got married to Michiko Sakurai in 2008.
