Mashonaland Eagles
The Eagles cricket franchise, formerly the Mashonaland Eagles, is based at Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. The team has first-class status, and has competed in the Logan Cup since 2009–10.[1][2] Eagles have won the trophy three times, most recently in 2022–23. Their home ground is Harare Sports Club. The team also competes in the Pro50 Championship, and the Zimbabwe Domestic Twenty20 Competition.
Mashonaland Province
The Eagles franchise effectively replaced the old Mashonaland provincial team which held first-class status from January 1994 until March 2006. That team played a total of 52 first-class matches, mostly in the Logan Cup.[3] They won the title nine times in eleven seasons between 1994–95 and 2004–05 inclusive.[4][5]
